The BBQ in complete safety!
The sun and the beautiful days are back, but we're confined so we're always looking for something to do... Wouldn't it be the perfect occasion to have your first barbecue of the year? Certainly, but before getting started, it would be a good idea to review the few rules to follow for a safe BBQ. Here they are!
Needless to say, this is not the time to go clutter up the already overburdened emergency services after a barbecue injury... So to avoid it, let's make sure we take a few precautions.
1. Choose an open location
You should not set up your Kokko anywhere. Be sure to place it in an area that is sufficiently clear of any flammable substances or materials: wood, branches, dry leaves, trees, chemicals, etc. Keep a perimeter of at least 1.50m. The ground must also be sufficiently stable. Of course, you should never set up your barbecue indoors, as the fumes from burning coal could poison you.
2. Opt for natural ignition
If simply using newspaper is not enough to light your barbecue, you probably use firelighters. No matter if they are in the form of briquettes, logs or pellets, always choose natural products and never use gasoline or methylated spirits that will fan the flames and could injure you. Also leave your lighter in your pocket and take out your matchbox.

3. Use suitable utensils
Forget the table fork to turn the sausages on the grill. To avoid burning yourself, use special barbecue utensils, i.e. with a long handle so that you don't put your hand over the flames or embers, but also with a coating that does not conduct heat. Also invest in a pair of anti-heat gloves, which are more practical for handling dishes and utensils than special barbecue potholders, which can also do the job.

4. Keep him under surveillance from start to finish
Once lit, it is important to always keep an eye on your barbecue, especially if there is wind or children. Children should never go near it, even when it is finished, because the embers will still be very hot for several hours. Should a fire start, make sure you always have water, an extinguisher or sand near your barbecue to extinguish it quickly and prevent it from spreading.
