The importance of maintaining your garden furniture

Long-lasting wooden garden furniture means well-maintained furniture. The first step is to protect it with the right products.

Starbrite offers the best solution with its exotic wood saturator protector that will help all your elements stand the test of time.

The Protector application

Make sure the wood has not been factory-treated with a Protector. If it has, wait for it to wear off naturally, usually within 3-4 months. The first thing to do is to ensure that, once installed, the boards are clean and the wood veins well open, so that Starbrite Exterior Wood Protector can penetrate the wood fibres. This is the key to effective, long-lasting protection.

Once the wood is perfectly dry, the grain open and free of any dirt or wood dust, the Protector can be applied.

A minimum of 24 hours of rain-free weather coverage is required for the Protector to fully cure.

Shake or stir can well before use.

Work in small sections using a brush or roller, taking care to "pull" the Protector and applying as little product as possible.

Long-term effectiveness depends on Starbrite Exterior Wood Protector being properly impregnated into the wood fibres!

Protector should be touch-dry in about 30 minutes at an average ambient temperature of 18-20°C. If this is not the case, wipe off excess product with a clean cloth.

Single-coat product to be applied in very thin layers. Do not attempt to saturate the wood. Do not apply in extreme heat or direct sunlight.

Recommended tools for smooth or ridged surfaces:

Roller, brush, cloth.
